On Tuesday, Kate McGowan, Integrative Flavors‘ Quality Assurance Manager, and I went to the Women in Leadership luncheon at Emma’s Eats in Michigan City.  The guest speaker was Ann Dahm, President of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce and “Lessons I’ve Learned to Help Women Succeed” was her topic.  This was the first time I’ve met Ann in person and she is a very dynamic speaker.  I’d like to recap what I took away from her presentation.  This might not be exactly what she was intending, but it is what I...

Homemade Pizza Dough with Cook’s D...

My original thought was that I would...

We are in the midst of Snowpocalypse 2011 across much of the United States.  The county we are in, as well as neighboring counties, are currently under a State of Emergency.  The past few days leading up to the big storm were pretty frantic in the stores and at the gas stations.  We bought ham and pepperoni.  Pepperoni for the homemade pizzas we like to make and ham for the navy bean and ham soup I will be making today with Cook’s Delight Ham Base.  I’ll post the recipe later (after I finish tweaking it). Luckily, we didn’t lose power in our area,...
