Amazing Cook’s Delight Chicken Base
If you are looking for a healthy seasoning in your cooking, Cook’s Delight Chicken Base offers a variety of ways for use. One of my favorites is adding chicken base to your potatoes as you boil them for mashed potatoes. I also add a little base in after the potatoes have been drained before mashing them. You can skip the salt, because the chicken base gives it a delicious flavor. If you prefer rice, cooking it in chicken broth/stock provides an alternative without increasing calories.
My mom uses broth/stock in her stuffing at Thanksgiving and it is a big hit with our family. We always ask her to double or triple her recipe because we all want leftovers. She also uses the broth/stock in the Thanksgiving gravy. Combined with some of the drippings from the turkey, you get a real treat!
You can boil your vegetables in chicken broth. Broth can also be used in place of oil in sauteing. The broth will evaporate while cooking so prepare extra to add as needed.
Basting with chicken broth/stock or even the chicken base without dilution adds flavor too. I have purchased the rotisserie chickens from the grocery store and spread a little chicken base on the outside of the chicken and reheated it for dinner. This works well with Cook’s Delight Roasted Garlic Flavor too.
