On Thursday, December 2, 2010, the Michigan City Economic Development Corporation presented Integrative Flavors with the 2010 Business Investment Award. This award honors businesses that have made significant manufacturing investments in the Michigan City area. Georgeann Quealy, President and Brian Quealy, Vice President accepted the award on behalf of Integrative Flavors. ”We feel quite honored to have received this award and are proud of our contribution to manufacturing in Northwest Indiana” stated Georgeann. Georgeann and Brian worked with contractors and architects for about a year to plan for the upgrade to an existing building in Michigan City to make it into a USDA plant that is also Organically Certified. Construction began in early 2010 and Integrative Flavors has been in its new facility since August manufacturing Cook’s Delight soup bases and gravy mixes. Recently, NSF Cook & Thurber performed a third party FOOD SAFETY, QUALITY AND FOOD DEFENSE AUDIT and Integrative Flavors scored in the Meets or Exceeds Audit Expectations–the highest audit category.
